While there are some foods that are believed to boost immunity, the most important thing you can do to try and boost your immune system now (and always) is to focus on your overall health:
- Eat a well-balanced diet
- Get enough sleep
- Drink plenty of water
- Manage your stress
The COVID-19 pandemic is a great reminder of the other things we need to be doing as well:
- Practice good hygiene and wash your hands regularly (for at least 20 seconds, making sure to get every part of your hands, fingers and nails)
- Practice social distancing, staying a minimum of 6 feet from others and avoiding public places whenever possible.
Focusing on your health is more important than ever. It may not prevent you from catching COVID-19, but it certainly won’t hurt.
